This is the Thonet-style silhouette that's been in living rooms for over a century: steam-bent frame, scrolled arms, and that deep sweeping runner that gives it such an easy rocking motion. The caned seat and back are intact and sit comfortably.

We refinished the frame in a matte black that suits the shape — it reads modern in a plain room and right at home in a vintage one.
